Biography
Michael B Wood (born 1950) is an award winning documentary and landscape photographer based in
Los Angeles. Born and raised on the shores of Long Island Sound, Michael took up photography at 16.
He studied photography at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and has been creating beautiful,
graphic, powerful images for publication since the early 1970's. Traveling as the personal photographer
to Prem Rawat for over 30 years, Michael has captured many unusual perspectives of life. A passion for
spontaneity, presence, and storytelling informs his work, infusing it with a sense of the timeless.
Michael lives in Newbury Park with his wife, young daughter and cameras.
